Romance, Anyone?

Care to share?  You have a chance to get a head start!  Because I’m holding a contest to celebrate the release of The Witch, the first adventure of the War-N-Wit, Inc. series.  The Witch debuted on Amazon on March 12, 2012, a red letter day for the author.  Who would be me.  And I’ve been deeply touched by the reception it’s gotten in the short time it’s been available to readers.  I made a promise to myself a long time ago, you see.  Long before any of my work was accepted for publication, back in the days when I never thought it would be (mostly because I always threw all my books into the closet as soon as they were finished and didn’t have any plans to do anything any different with them). A promise that I would never allow a book to be read if it wasn’t absolutely the best book I could make it.  That being said, writers don’t stay static.  We always believe the next book will be better than the one before.  Because we’re always learning something new while working on each one.

I’m still learning.  And I hope each book I produce will give any reader a taste of unreality—an hour or two when the real world doesn’t exist and the fantasy world does.

I’ve been fine-tuning this new cyber world of http://gailroughton.blogspot.com   to be a fitting picture frame for my books.  Because as any writer will tell you, our books are our children and we like to show them off.  Please come in and let me show it off.  Click each tab and check out the coming new releases.  Drop in at the Review page so you’ll understand why I’ve been so deeply moved since the release of this book.  Follow me if you’ve got a second to sign up.  You’ll make my day!

And before you leave, please check out the Contest Tab.   I hope you’ll enter!  The contest officially starts on April 10 (but I’m giving any reader of this post a head start) and will run through May 10.  Share your cyberspace romance by leaving a comment on the Contest Page.  (Any comment made here on the Home Page gratefully appreciated as well, of course.)  A random drawing winner gets to name a character in the next War-N-Wit, Inc. adventure.  Want me use your name?  I’d be delighted.  Or, if you want to name one of the characters, I’d be delighted to use the name you choose.  Please leave an email addy in your comment so I can contact you.  Oh!  And of course, that random drawing winner will also receive a free PDF copy of The Witch.  Chad and Ariel and I (and Micah, Angel of the Divine Path, currently on assignment in cat form) are waiting on you!
